Financial Accountant & Business Administrator - Brisbane
Reporting to the CEO & Founder
Genics Pty Ltd, an Australian based global leader in next-generation early pathogen detection, genetic breeding programs and food security technologies, is seeking a highly motivated & experienced Financial Accountant & Business Administrator to join our rapidly growing team of experts in Brisbane Australia.
We are seeking a well-rounded and versatile Financial Account & Business Administrator who wants their work to make a difference to the sustainability and well-being of communities all over the world. Our team is small and dynamic, offering the opportunity to have a big impact on the delivered product & services. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of the business by managing accounting & general administrative tasks, supporting the senior leadership team, and contributing to the overall success of the organisation. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organisational skills, advanced Xero software experience, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities effectively.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
All listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional task and responsibilities.
Manage daily Financial Accounts in Xero and related administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining records.
Support financial processes such as payroll, expense reconciliation, Accounts receivable & payable and budget monitoring.
Assist with basic human resources functions, including onboarding, maintaining employee records, and coordinating training sessions.
Oversee office management duties, including procurement of office supplies, maintaining office facilities, and liaising with vendors.
Coordinate internal and external communications, ensuring smooth information flow within the organisation.
Maintain and improve financial reporting & administrative systems, processes, and policies to enhance efficiency.
Assist in preparing financial reports, general presentations, and documentation for senior management team.
Support client & business projects by providing financial & administrative and logistical support.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with local, state & federal government agencies to ensure compliance and facilitate necessary approvals or permits.
