Job description, work day and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements including technology and supplier contracts.
Providing practical legal advice on day-to-day commercial legal matters within a consumer finance setting.
Supporting the wider legal team on operational matters related to credit card and retail banking products.
Engaging with stakeholders across the business to ensure contracts are aligned with regulatory and commercial priorities.
Required Experience:

Qualified Solicitor with 2–6 years’ post-qualification experience in commercial contracts.
Prior experience working in or advising financial services or banking clients.
Strong commercial awareness and pragmatic approach to legal risk.
Ability to integrate into a team quickly and deliver effective legal support with minimal supervision.
Additional Information:

Start Date: End of August
Duration: 2 months (initial)
Location: Hybrid – 1 day per week in office.
