Financial Accountant – High Growth Fintech Startup (Post Series B)
Pearse Group are excited to be working exclusively with one of the fastest growing fintech startups in the UK, who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team.
Following a significant Series B fundraise, led by two of the most reputable tech focussed venture capital funds in Europe, they have seen significant growth, tripling revenue over the past six months and have launched several additional products to their B2B platform.
The role:
The business is looking for an ambitious accountant, to work closely with their Financial Controller and CFO, to ultimately own Management Accounting, operational finance, tax reporting and support with the annual audit process as well as looking how to optimise and automate processes within the function.
• Responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate month-end reporting and management accounting, including drafting management reports
• Ownership of payroll processing, accounts payable, expense reviewing
• Responsibility for reconciliation processes
• Work closely with the Financial Controller on the annual audit process
• Tax accounting with involvement in both corporation tax and VAT returns
• Identifying performance gaps and areas for potential improvement
• Continuous process improvement and automation to enable the businesses to scale
Requirements:
• Newly qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or part-qualified
• Willingness to roll your sleeves up and be hands-on across the team
• Excellent communicator with the ability to work well with senior stakeholders
• Previous experience in a fintech startup or FCA regulated business is
