We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our team in Sydney. This is a key role within the finance department, responsible for overseeing various accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in financial data, and contributing to ongoing system and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Management Reporting: Provide monthly and quarterly management reports, offering insights into financial performance, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
Grant Income Treatment (AASB 15): Manage the treatment of grants received each quarter in accordance with AASB 15.
Financial Analysis: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
BAS & Tax Compliance: Prepare, review, and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Payroll Processing: Oversee and manage payroll, ensuring accuracy in salary payments, deductions, superannuation, and compliance with relevant legislation.
Lease Treatment (AASB 16): Oversee the correct application of lease treatment in line with AASB 16.
MYOB System Review & Improvement: Manage MYOB system functionality, conduct reviews, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Balance Sheet Review & Reconciliation: Conduct monthly balance sheet account reviews and reconciliations.
NDIS Process Management:Manage NDIS Portal payment requests, non-labour costs, and transport claims.Oversee NDIS RCTI and remittance advice downloads.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Strong understanding and practical experience with AASB 15 and AASB 16 standards.
Proficiency in MYOB accounting system, including financial data review, payroll, and reconciliations.
Previous experience with NDIS processes is highly desirable but not essential.
Excellent knowledge of taxation (FB, BAS, PAYG, GST) and superannuation management.
High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage queries and liaise with staff at all levels.
Ability to contribute to system reviews and process improvements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software/tools.
