Job Description
This role will focus on management of the General Ledger in order to provide accurate data for the financial reporting/budgeting needs of the business. This role will cover three companies: Guide Dogs Australia, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT and Centre for Eye Health.
Key Accountabilities:
Meeting the End of Month Close by COB Day 4
Managing the General Ledger for each company
Preparing the complex Month End Reconciliations (e.g. Leases)
Reviewing Month End Reconciliations of the Assistant Accountant (e.g. Fixed Assets, Accruals etc)
Managing the Term Deposits Schedules
Managing the annual audit process in a timely and efficient manner. This will involve being the main contact with the external auditors, delegating tasks with the team, keeping up to date with all the requests.
Timely preparation and review of monthly BAS returns for GDN group and RGDA with the Assistant Accountant
Prepare the annual FBT return for submission within the ATO deadlines
Prepare the annual Franking Credit Returns for submission to the ATO
Essential Experience:
CA/CPA certification (or equivalent)
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Financial Accountant/senior Assistant Accountants
Experience with Payroll processing Advanced Excel skills
Strong communication (written and verbal) skills, initiative and integrity
High energy/strong work ethic
