Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Administrator to join our dynamic and expanding team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. Key Responsibilities:
Manage all financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Process end-to-end payroll for 43+ employees, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
Perform regular bank reconciliation for multiple accounts.
Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns.
Manage accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing and payment tracking.
Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
Maintain and update the general ledger and chart of accounts.
Assist with year-end close procedures and liaise with external accountants
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essentials:
Proven experience as a book keeper, ideally within the SME (circa £5M+turnover)
Strong proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software.
Solid understanding of UK payroll processes and HMRC requirements.
Demonstrable experience with VAT returns
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Desirable:
AAT Level 2 or equivalent professional certification.
Experience with multi-branch operations.
