What are we looking for?
The Financial Analyst will focus on the accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, and reporting of financial transactions. This role will be vital in maintaining the integrity of our financial data, supporting month-end close procedures, and preparing essential financial statements. Additionally, the role will provide analytical insight and support necessary for collaboration across the organizations business units.
What you bring?
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (required)
CPA designation or enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP)
Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management roles
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (preferred) and/or aptitude with other ERP/financial systems
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications, particularly Excel and Google Sheets, for financial data management and reporting.
Attention to detail, coupled with the ability to identify patterns, discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Knowledge of financial regulations and standards applicable to the industry.

Assist with the preparation of various financial reports for management, which may include budget-to-actual variance analyses, key performance indicator (KPI) tracking, and other ad-hoc reports as requested.
Investigate identified discrepancies by analyzing supporting documentation and collaborating with relevant departments to determine and implement corrective actions. Process and post daily financial transactions, including journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Manage and reconcile vendor statements and expense reports, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Perform regular bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, under the guidance of senior accounting staff.
