We are a specialist advisory and CFO services firm working with dental and veterinary practices across Australia. We’re looking for an analytically strong accountant who enjoys data, benchmarking, valuations and forward‑looking advisory work—not just compliance.
The Role
This role blends financial analytics, business valuations and virtual CFO services. You’ll work closely with the Director and partners to help practice owners make confident decisions about profitability, growth and succession.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse and model client financials using advanced Excel (Power Query, PivotTables, XLOOKUP, scenario analysis).
Maintain and enhance an in‑house benchmarking database and prepare client benchmarking reports.
Assist with business valuations, including financial modelling and drafting valuation reports.
Prepare CFO‑style reporting packs, cash flow forecasts and profitability analysis using Xero.
Present insights internally and contribute recommendations for client outcomes.
About You
Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, Business or Economics.
2–4+ years’ experience in public practice, advisory, management accounting or analytics.
Advanced Excel skills and hands‑on Xero experience.
Knowledge of Dental and Veterinarian business operations
Exposure to valuation concepts and strong financial statement analysis skills.
Confident explaining financial insights to non‑financial business owners.
Desirable
Progress toward CA/CPA.
Power BI or data visualisation experience.
Exposure to dental or veterinary businesses.
Familiarity with valuation standards (APES 225 / RG 111).
