Finance sit at the heart of our business, driving value-accretive growth by owning first-class processes, fostering the control environment, and ensuring decisions are made on complete and accurate information. As the scale and complexity of the business continues to grow, we’re seeking to add technical expertise to strengthen and complement our established team. The Financial Control Manager will be the key support to the Financial Controller on accounting, tax and compliance matters. This will cover month-end, year-end and project work, providing a varied and challenging workload for the right candidate.
What you’ll do
Support our month-end close and lead on legal entity reporting, providing key accounting adjustments
Lead our financial statement preparation and liaise with our external auditor
Monthly balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation of key accounts to verify the completeness and accuracy of our financial information
Own our accounting policies, existing and developing and implementing new policies as required, ensuring we are compliant whilst supporting business performance
Liaise with our tax advisors to provide business support and on-time filings for corporation tax, VAT and payroll taxes
Stay on top of accounting, tax and regulatory developments that affect our business, ensuring we successfully implement on time
Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with associated regulations
Assist with treasury management and cash flow forecasting
What you’ll bring
We are looking for qualified accountant who loves being an accountant! Preferably with strong knowledge of FRS 102
Experience of working in fast-paced environments and with/for SMEs would be beneficial
You’ll have a fantastic attitude, be naturally curious and have a relentless drive to make things better
An ability to communicate effectively across teams and work levels
This is an in-office role in central Edinburgh.
