We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive accounting experience, particularly in the implementation of ERP systems in both Canadian and US contexts. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of our firm as we continue to expand.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Lead the implementation and optimization of ERP systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on ERP system implementation in both Canadian and US contexts.
Strong understanding of Canadian and US GAAP.
Proven experience in a fast-paced, growing professional services firm.
Excellent leadership and management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
