Job Position: Financial Expert – Reporting Guidance
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Expert to join our team.
About the Role:
The Financial Expert will be responsible for issuing opinions on technical accounting queries raised by various departments within the organization. This includes understanding business/accounting issues and conducting research under Ind AS/IFRS/Siemens financial reporting framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement accounting policies for local/global reporting for various areas, such as revenue recognition, warranty, derivative, inventory etc.
• Implement new accounting standards/amendments to accounting standards within the organization.
• Design and test ICFR (Internal Control Framework) key controls and coordinate with the ICFR team for smooth implementation.
• Deliver monthly trainings on accounting topics within the organization.
• Participate in project update meetings and provide inputs/guidance from an accounting perspective.
• Review team member's work and provide guidance to the team on approach to deliverables.
• Provide guidance to various teams on usage of Siemens Chart of Accounts (SCOA) for specific queries.
• Resolve technical accounting queries and ICFR related queries with statutory auditors.
• Proactively identify digitalization initiatives to simplify existing processes.
Requirements:
This role requires a Chartered Accountant with 5-10 years of post-qualification experience. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of Ind AS/IFRS, experience in designing/testing ICFR, working knowledge of SAP, understanding of accounting processes and analytical mindset. Good communication and presentation skills are also essential.
