Your Key Responsibilities:
Lead, inspire, and coach a high-performance accounting team.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reports for senior management, external parties, and regulatory bodies.
Maintain financial data integrity by ensuring accurate transactions, compliance with policies, and regular reconciliations.
Oversee cash flow, investment returns, and foreign exchange, ensuring alignment with the University's financial strategy.
Lead the creation and implementation of financial policies and ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and reporting regulations.
You Will Need:
At least 12 years of experience in accounting, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing financial reporting and management accounting.
Extensive experience with Oracle Financials or similar systems.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of 8+ staff, driving performance and professional development.
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field, with Chartered Accountant membership (NZICA) required.
