Position
Financial Reporting Manager
Introduction
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Financial Reporting Manager plays a key role in supporting the effective financial management of the Company’s projects. This position is responsible for leading the preparation and consolidation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing technical accounting analysis to support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will also mentor members of the finance team and collaborate closely with cross-functional groups, including audit and tax.
Location
This is a full-time position based at B2Gold Corporate Office in Vancouver, Canada with a flexible work arrangement option available.
Duties & Responsibilities
Review site financial reporting, supporting working papers and related accounting issues;
Provide guidance to site teams on financial reporting and accounting matters;
Prepare complex consolidations and adjusting journal entries, as part of the reporting requirements;
Analyze and document complex technical accounting issues, including preparation of associated memos;
Assist in preparation of quarterly financial statements and management discussion and analysis;
Liaise with external and internal auditors;
Review operational life-of-mine plans and annual budgets;
Provide, coordinate and review information requests for the tax team as required;
Supervise and mentor finance team members;
Assist in maintaining and upgrading the Company’s accounting systems;
Travel to the company’s operations, as required; and
Perform other duties as required in support of Company objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or similar field from an accredited university or college;
Professional accounting designation is required (CPA or CPA, CA preferred);
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industry or public practice post-designation;
SOX experience in the mining industry is preferred (either in public practice or industry);
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced proficiency in Excel;
Ability to work with different cultures across different time zones;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment but also available to work independently with minimum supervision;
Ability to think strategically with a big-picture mindset;
Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills;
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Additional Desired Qualifications
Prior experience in mining industry is strongly preferred.

This position is based out of our Vancouver head office with periodic international travel required, which may be at short notice.

B2Gold offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary commensurate with the candidate’s experience, knowledge and skill set, and a comprehensive benefit package for employees and their eligible dependents. The base salary range for this position is CAD $155,000- 180,000 per annum, which is the anticipated pay at the time of hire but does not reflect similar future job opportunities.
