The purpose of the First Nations Talent Programs Specialist is to continue nurturing a culturally safe, welcoming, and empowering experience for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples considering employment with Bupa. In this role, you’ll take a hands‑on approach in attracting, engaging, and supporting First Nations talent across traineeships, internships, and graduate pathways. Working closely with internal and external partners, you will strengthen our First Nations talent pipelines, uphold Bupa’s commitments under the First Nations Employment Strategy and Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan, and ensure every candidate feels respected, supported, and set up for success. Through trusted relationships, culturally grounded guidance, and genuine candidate care, you will help create strong foundations for First Nations employees to thrive and grow their careers.
This is an identified position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. What you’ll need to make it possible
This is an identified position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Demonstrated experience in HR, recruitment, workforce development, or candidate experience, ideally within a First Nations context.
Proven ability to take a hands-on role in recruitment processes, including sourcing, candidate engagement, interview preparation, and onboarding.
Ability to build trusted relationships with First Nations candidates.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple candidate processes simultaneously.
Proven ability to support First Nations Talent initiatives and programs.
Experience using recruitment platforms, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and candidate management tools to support sourcing, engagement, and recruitment workflows.
Familiarity with candidate assessment and screening tools
Comfortable learning and adapting to new HR technology systems to enhance recruitment efficiency and candidate experience.
