At Team Global Express, we lead in safety. We’re building a workplace where our people are supported to perform at their best physically, psychologically and operationally.

We’re now seeking a Fitness for Work Business Partner to design, embed and continuously improve our enterprise-wide Fitness for Work (FFW) and early intervention framework, ensuring our workforce remains safe, capable and supported.

The Opportunity - (flexibility on location)

Reporting to the Head of People, this pivotal role safeguards and enables safe, sustainable workforce capacity across our national operations.

You will partner closely with HR, Safety and Workers Compensation teams to ensure leaders can make confident, risk-based decisions while employees experience safe and durable return-to-work outcomes.

This role is distinct from the Workers Compensation team and focuses on proactive, non‑claim Fitness for Duties matters, ensuring employees are safe and capable to perform the inherent requirements of their roles.

This is a strategic and hands-on role with enterprise impact shaping governance, strengthening compliance, and improving operational continuity.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Designing and embedding an end-to-end Fitness for Work framework

Overseeing early intervention and injury management strategies

Managing complex physical, psychological and fatigue-related cases

Driving consistent, compliant governance and decision-making

Accelerating safe, sustainable return-to-work outcomes

Partnering with leaders to balance risk, care and operational needs

Identifying trends and using data to improve workforce capability and availability

What You’ll Bring

Significant experience in injury management, return-to-work and fitness for work governance

Strong understanding of workers compensation and legislative compliance

Experience partnering with senior leaders in operational environments

Ability to manage complex and sensitive matters with confidence and empathy

Commercial and risk-based mindset
