We are currently looking for Servers for our Rainforest Cafe location who look for every opportunity to WOW and provide exceptional service to our guests. The ideal candidates must be passionate about great food, great fun and guest service. This key service position is responsible for:
Warmly welcoming each guest with a smile, eye contact, and with a friendly verbal greeting.
Engaging with the guests in conversation at the tables regarding their stay in Niagara Falls and area attractions etc.
Taking guests food and beverage orders, making recommendations, advising of menu options and assist with special requests.
Speaking to guests’ and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language
Maintaining complete knowledge of beverages and food offerings of the restaurant, including a variety of liquors, beers, wines available to the guests.
Serving food and beverages to the table promptly following appropriate procedures.
Communicating with the kitchen regarding menu questions, dietary requirements and special requests.
Recording transactions in the MICROS system correctly and timely
Checking-in with guests from time to time to assure satisfaction with each course and beverage.
Ensuring place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting.
Clean tables, complete closing duties and re-stock tableware and other supplies.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, practicing clean as you go procedures.
Work safely and in compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Perform any and all other tasks, which are assigned by management.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum one (1) years of related experience required.
Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented individual.
Positive and outgoing personality.
Flexible and adaptable to change.
An individual who can maintain professional composure at all times, regardless of issue, while performing multiple tasks with multiple guests/ items/products.
A well-groomed, neat, and clean appearance individual who can carry out duties with attention to sanitation and safety.
An individual who can quickly respond to changing work volume; high-energy level/speed.
An individual who can work independently with minimal supervision.
An individual who can work a varied work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
Smart Serve Certification is required.
