Main purpose of job:
The FCDO HR Hub in British High Commission is looking for HR – Pay and Benefits Officer, at grade A2, based in New Delhi. Reporting to Compensation and Benefits Head, the successful candidate will be responsible for running and maintaining payroll and other related payment processes for all staff in the region. The candidate will be part of FCO HR Hub Team and will be working together with other team members on all the payrolls across the region.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Pay & Benefits Team (as part of HR Hub) is responsible for smooth processing of payrolls and other salary related payments for DFID (and FCO) staff across the region. The Pay and Benefits Officer is expected to :
Produce and Analyse regular and ad-hoc payroll reports.
Maintain and Own Pay & Benefits mailboxes; assisting and answering staff queries.
Play a pivotal role in Data Collection Exercises, Annual Pay Uplift Process.
Learn and Assist Payroll Manager with Annual Pay Benchmarking and Pay Plotting Exercise.
Run Monthly Payrolls individually and ensure error-free and efficient processing.
Build Networking skills and work as partners with relevant stakeholders in the region.
Bring in process improvements and streamline the existing processes flows.
Assist Payroll Manager with Performance Bonus Payout recommendation for Posts.
Provide tailor-made solutions to staff’s queries related to compensation.
Maintain Employee Database and act as primary contact for circulation of monthly and annual documents/certificates to staff.
Work on monthly and annual MIS for all Posts.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience
Essential on arrival:
Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration or Human Resources and related field is desirable);
2+ years of experience in Human Resources, especially in Compensation-related areas;
Concrete experience in Management Information & Reporting specially excel reports;
Outstanding interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to work with people at different levels in an international environment and within a fast paced, results oriented organisation;
Able to adapt to a quick changing and evolving policy framework, and present solutions in an autonomous and efficient manner;
Excellent level of English is essential;
Excellent IT skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
Desirable:
Expertise/Specialization in South Asia region compensation and benefits policies and practices;
Experience in shared services organization
