About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to proactively shape strategy and drive Tesco's success, through great planning, reporting and insight.
As part of the UK Central Finance FP&A team, you are uniquely placed to connect the dots and build a story across the business.
Our team partners the UK CFO and UK Leadership Team, as well as Group Finance to provide relevant analysis and insight, to drive understanding and decision making. You will have the opportunity to lead forecasting cycles, with outputs going to both the Executive Committee and Plc Board.

You will be responsible for
Design and manage FP&A timelines (forecasting), ensuring timely communication with Commercial Finance teams
Collaborate with commercial teams to define necessary financial and non-financial inputs for forecasting cycle
Deliver presentations and insights to UK CFO, business leaders and Group Finance
Analyse key commercial drivers to generate insight behind changes in sales, profit, and cash
Develop and improve reporting/planning tools and processes to achieve outstanding FP&A
Scenario analysis including changes in the economic and competitor environment, as well as higlighting key sensitivities across financial drivers
Ad-hoc projects and analysis to deliver financial targets and drive business performance
Develop and improve reporting/planning tools and processes to achieve outstanding FP&A including use of AI
Drive simplification and innovation through the forecasting and reporting processes
Support on performance reporting including leading colleagues to deliver outputs on time and accurately
You will need
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Effective financial analysis skills and a keen eye for detail
Excellent presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to senior audiences
The drive, motivation and organisational skills to ensure self and team succeed in an environment of changing priorities and challenging deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly with stakeholders at all levels
Excellent organisation skills and multitasking abilities
