Freelance Assistant Kids Designer

Overview: Our client is seeking a proficient and enthusiastic Assistant Apparel Designer to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn from head designers and develop their skills in the apparel design industry.

Responsibilities: • Create and cad clothing designs using Illustrator • Develop and maintain detailed tech packs in Illustrator • Size artwork accurately to ensure alignment with design specifications • Select Pantone colors and approve lab dips • Design labels and organize samples • Communicate approvals and rejections to factories via email • Use Excel to manage sample sheets and track progress • Ensure the quality of samples, including checking washes • Work on design projects that require multiple colorways (e.g., six colorways of prints) • Create stripes and other design elements in Illustrator

Requirements: • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator • Excellent communication skills • Strong organizational abilities • Interest in learning and collaborating with head designers • Basic Excel skills for sample sheet management • Attention to detail and quality control
