Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fund Accounting Associate to join our team. The Fund Accounting Associate will be responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting activities for our client’s investment funds. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of investment accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly accounting activities for assigned funds, including reconciliations, cash and position reconciliations, expense accruals, and income and expense allocations
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Monitor and report on investment activity and provide insights into portfolio performance
Work closely with portfolio managers, custodians, and auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Maintain strong relationships with clients and respond to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of accounting processes
Assist with other special projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong English communications skill
Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment accounting or fund accounting
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Experience with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Experience with private equity, or hedge fund accounting is a plus
Shift: 12:00 PM – 0+:00 PM IST / 01:00 PM - 10:00 PM IST - Monday to Friday
Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent
Salary: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
