As a Gallery Technician you will be actively involved in the preparation, installation and de-installation of exhibitions. This will involve assisting with the movement of artworks, building temporary walls, painting and light construction through to installing artworks, applying vinyl graphics, labels and lighting.
To tackle this exciting role you will have a good knowledge of current audio visual and multi-media technology, especially data projection, sound and other digital applications. You will be a multi-skilled individual who has superb problem solving skills as well as a broad range of creativity, innovation and technical expertise. Ideally you will have arts/design experience in a museum, art gallery, and theatre production or a construction environment.

Location - This position is primarily based at Te Puna o Waiwhetū Christchurch Art Gallery, 58 Gloucester Street, Ōtautahi Christchurch
Salary - $31.4+ per hour to $34.++ per hour
Closing Date - Sunday 1st June
