Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant / Cashier & Cook / Deli Associate to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the station. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math abilities, and experience in retail sales or grocery store environments. Bilingual skills are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop valuable skills in retail operations, sales, and customer service.
Responsibilities
Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling and transactions
Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service
Manage fuel sales, process payments accurately, and handle cash register operations
Upsell products such as snacks, beverages, and convenience items to increase sales
Stock shelves, merchandise products, and ensure the store is clean and organized
Conduct product demos when applicable to promote new or featured items
Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
Maintain proper phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
Supervise or assist with product displays to enhance store presentation
Support other retail activities including merchandising and basic math calculations for sales and inventory
Requirements
Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales preferred
Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette
Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a diverse clientele
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory counts
Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly attitude
Experience in grocery stores or retail environments is a plus
Ability to upsell products effectively to meet sales goals
Supervising experience is beneficial but not required
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves
Reliable with good attention to detail and organizational skills
