About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our professional team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of accounting and financial advisory services, supporting both our clients and our internal team.
Key Responsibilities
● Assist in developing and implementing budget and accounting policies
● Prepare financial statements for boards, management, investors, and statutory bodies
● Conduct financial investigations, prepare reports, undertake audits, and provide advice on business purchases, mergers, capital financing, fraud risks, insolvency, and taxation
● Analyse operating costs, income, and expenditure to support clients’ business performance
● Ensure financial reports are accurate and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements
● Provide financial and taxation advice on business structures, planning, and daily operations
● Prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses
● Liaise with financial institutions and brokers to establish investment and funds management arrangements
● Set up and maintain accounting systems, including advising on computerised solutions
● Maintain internal control systems to protect financial integrity
● Evaluate cash flow and financial risks linked to capital investment projects
● Deliver services in compliance reporting, auditing, insolvency, and accounting information systems, including guidance on record-keeping requirements
