TIMPSON GROUP GENERAL COUNSEL
The Timpson Group is a national multiple retail business with in excess of 2,200 trading stores across the UK and Ireland. The Group consists of a number of well-known High-Street brands including Timpson, Johnson Cleaners, Max Spielmann and Snappy Snaps.
Given our continued growth, we are seeking a General Counsel to assist the wider business on legal matters in addition to supporting commercial property transactions.
This is a senior position within Timpson Group, working with a wide range of colleagues across the business. We are looking for someone who perfectly represents our culture of Upside Down Management and is able to work at pace and across a number of issues at once.
• Position: Timpson Group General Counsel
• Location: - Lutterworth
• Wage: - Competitive/Negotiable (to be discussed during interview)
• Responsibilities
• Provide business-wide advice across a wide range of commercial matters and legal issues, ensuring advice is pragmatic and outcome focused
• Provide leadership and guidance to all legal resource within Timpson Group, ensuring the Company Culture is maintained and fostered
• Engage with a wide range of stakeholders within Timpson Group on business related legal issues, providing a first-class service to all colleagues
• Ensure all Property Legal is ran smoothly and efficiently by minimizing costs, ensuring deals are done as quickly as possible this would include taking on some day to day property transactions.
• Attributes Needed
• Commercial and general business knowledge
• Experience in commercial property transactions
• Experience in the negotiation and completion of wider business and commercial contracts
• An understanding of company law, and legal matter associated with the administrative workings of businesses.
