Job Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operates powered equipment, such as trenchers, tractors, chain-saws, clippers, cutters, saws, small bulldozers, etc.
Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge or brush trimmers.
Haul or spread topsoil, mulch, sand with wheel-barrel, shovels and rakes.
Manually lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers, shrubs or trees.
Plant bushes, flowers, shrubs and trees; also remove the same.
Install pavers, stone edging, boulders; build retaining walls.
Installs rock gardens, ponds, decks, drainage systems, irrigation systems, retaining walls, fences, planters, or playground equipment.
Assist in irrigation and drainage installation by excavating, trenching, laying and connecting pipe.
Attach wires from planted trees to support stakes.
Follows planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage.
Maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools.
Adhere to safe equipment operation and keep a neat appearance and crew vehicle.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous outdoor labor experience preferred.
Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
Authorized to work in the United States
Physical Requirements & Working Environment:
Extensive physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Working Hours: Start time, 6am; 10 - 12 hour days; Monday through Friday with Saturday work available depending on project deadlines.
