Summary
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and oversee our international logistics and dispatch operations from Mohali. The candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring compliance, building high-performing teams, and driving business growth across Canada and U.S. markets. This role requires a strong leader with proven experience in transportation, freight management, and cross-border operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership for dispatch, operations, and customer service teams based in Mohali.
Oversee day-to-day dispatch activities and ensure efficient, timely freight movement across Canada and the U.S.
Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize fleet utilization, load planning, and service quality.
Act as the primary escalation point for complex issues, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
Build strong relationships with Canadian and U.S. operations teams, customers, and partners.
Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations, safety, and company policies.
Monitor KPIs and prepare performance reports for senior management.
Drive continuous improvement, training, and mentoring of teams to achieve high productivity and service standards.
Contribute to strategic planning and support company growth initiatives in North America.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
10+ years of experience in logistics/transportation, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
Deep knowledge of Canadian and U.S. freight operations, regulations, and geography.
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to manage cross-border operations and multi-location teams.
Proficiency in transport management and dispatch software.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 international logistics environment.
