GL Accountant

WHAT’S AHEAD OF YOU? YOU WILL: • Perform GL accounting activities • Post and process journal entries to ensure all financial transactions are recorded • Complete account reconciliations with minimal supervision • Assist in preparing balance sheet, income statement and other financial statements for reporting purposes • Perform period-end close activities in a timely and accurate manner in line with fiscal close calendar • Raise any issues or queries requiring judgement and expertise to GL Accountants within the team • Support GL Accountants with information needed to respond to requests from regulatory authorities and auditors • Ensure GL accounting team compliance • Perform prescribed GL accounting activities within accounting principles and regulatory requirements and ensure all transactions adhere to them • Ensure period end close activities are compliant with the fiscal close calendar, ensuring adequate time for collaboration with various teams impacted • Ensuring all R2R controls are adhered to and documented appropriately • Cooperate with other teams – mainly P2P, O2C and Master Data • Take active part in the ERP system change planned for next year WHAT YOU BRING: • 2 years’ experience in GL accounting operations • Strong English language skills • Strong MS Excel skills with a proven aptitude to interpret financial data • Basic knowledge of finance business processes, accounting policies, and statutory accounting principles to ensure compliant SSC operations • Basic knowledge of core finance systems, ERP and related specialty functional systems, frameworks, and functionality • Proactive approach WHAT WE HAVE FOR YOU: • An exciting company — we work with some of the most innovative brands in the world, and our employees are true professionals with unique skills. • A great team of people who are fair, open-minded, and friendly — and always ready to support you as much as possible. • International, English-speaking environment and pleasant offices in the center of Brno or remote cooperation. • Semiflexible working hours. • Interesting challenges, trainings, and other internal opportunities to support your growth. • Fair compensation, bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
