Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced GL Accounting Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings and reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, accruals, and prepaids.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, and FP&A teams to ensure financial information is accurate and timely.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in general ledger or financial accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Oracle Cloud ).
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in a multinational company or shared service center.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal audit processes.
• Experience with automation tools or financial reporting software.
