Mott MacDonald’s New Zealand team is looking for an experienced consultant to lead our Transport team in Wellington, as part of our local leadership team. This upcoming role is part of our growth and expansion across the lower north, and south island, is an exciting leadership opportunity in a diverse team of consultants who are passionate about what they do and have a proven track record with key public and private sector clients.

The role and what you will do:
We are seeking an experienced transport consultant to join our Wellington leadership team and help us to continue to develop our presence across Wellington and Christchurch in the transport market. With established links with key clients across rail, transport planning and highways, this role will pay a key part in our overall Wellington growth strategy.
Reporting to our National Transport Market lead, you will partner with our Transport leadership team nationally across Highways, Rail, Geotechnical, and Transport planning. You will be a core leader in in establishing and further developing key local client relationships.
You ideally will have a consultancy background and experience with government and private sector client relations across the Wellington market.

About you:
With tertiary qualifications and relevant experience in civil engineering, transport planning, or infrastructure advisory, you will have proven skills in your field of expertise and wider view of the engineering, infrastructure, management and development consultancy industry. The ability to prioritise, influence without authority and collaborate is fundamental, substantiated by subject matter expertise and a drive for excellence and results.
This role will give you the opportunity to lead, inspire and grow a team of transport professionals within a globally connected engineering services firm. ‘

You will be a highly experienced professional with a wealth of experience in the Wellington and lower island market, working as a consultant across the lifecycle of projects, infrastructure, and developments within the Transport Market.
