WHAT YOU'LL DO
In your role as the Global IT Software Engineer Senior Manager & Chapter Lead, you will lead the Quality Assurance (QA) chapter within the IT & Business Platforms team at BCG. This team manages critical platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, AdobeSign, UiPath, and Microsoft Power Apps. Embedded within our squad supporting HR Service Delivery in ServiceNow, you will focus on hands-on ServiceNow QA while also spearheading innovation and enhancement of QA processes across all platforms. Your leadership will ensure our practices not only meet but exceed the highest standards of efficiency and quality.
A key part of your role will involve collaborating with the central QA Center of Excellence to align our QA strategies with industry best practices and to continuously refine and advance our processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for the direct line management of our QA engineers, guiding their professional development, and ensuring alignment with project goals and company standards. Your broader responsibilities will include managing QA engineers across the entire portfolio, setting QA direction across all platforms, and ensuring comprehensive quality assurance coverage.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
• Strategically leading initiatives to automate and optimize testing processes, significantly enhancing both efficiency and quality of outcomes.
• Cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the QA chapter, ensuring alignment with global standards and business goals.
• Building effective relationships across functions to integrate QA strategies with broader business objectives, all while upholding BCG's core values of commitment and teamwork.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
• A Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of leadership experience in QA management within a software development environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with test management and defect management tools such as Zephyr, TestRail, or qTest.
• Hands-on experience with key software platforms used by the IT & Business Platforms, particularly ServiceNow, team is preferred.
• Expertise in modern QA technologies and methodologies, with a strong focus on process automation and optimization.
• A thorough understanding of Agile methodologies and a comprehensive grasp of the software development lifecycle, particularly within the QA context.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of leading complex projects to successful outcomes.
