Role Overview
The General Manager – Business Development will be responsible for driving growth through strategic alliances, licensing, partnerships, and market expansion in the areas of nano-encapsulation technologies, oral finished dosage forms (FDFs), injectables (general & oncology), ophthalmology, inhalation therapies, external preparations, and pre-finished formulations. The role requires a commercially astute leader with deep understanding of global pharmaceutical markets and the ability to translate Murli Krishna Pharma’s R&D strengths into business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Business Growth
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across global markets, including licensing, technology transfers, and partnerships.
• Drive commercialization of innovative formulations (nano-encapsulation, oncology, ophthalmic, inhalation, OSDs, injectables, external preparations).
• Define and execute business development strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives.
• Market Development & Partnerships
• Build strong relationships with global pharmaceutical companies, distributors, and CROs/CMOs.
• Lead negotiations for in-licensing, out-licensing, co-development, and strategic alliances.
• Evaluate market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer needs to identify new opportunities.
• Product & Portfolio Management
• Work closely with R&D and Regulatory Affairs to align pipeline with market demand.
• Assess feasibility and profitability of new products for domestic and international markets.
• Develop strategic marketing plans for product launches and lifecycle management.
• Regulatory & Commercial Alignment
• Ensure regulatory pathways and commercial strategies are aligned for key geographies (US, EU, Middle East, Africa, Asia, LATAM).
• Support dossier submissions, tech transfers, and out-licensing with necessary technical-commercial inputs.
• Team Leadership
• Build and lead a high-performing BD team with global exposure.
• Mentor and guide team members in deal structuring, client engagement, and business negotiations.

Qualifications & Experience
• Master’s/PhD in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or MBA with pharmaceutical background.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical business development, with significant exposure to formulations (injectables, oncology, ophthalmic, inhalation, OSDs, external preparations).
• Proven track record in licensing deals, strategic alliances, and international business growth.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks across US, EU, ROW, and emerging markets.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams.
