We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Grant Accountant in Chicago, Illinois. This role is within the finance industry and will require the successful candidate to manage a variety of accounting functions related to grant management. The workplace is a dynamic environment where the Grant Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the financial health and transparency of our operations.Responsibilities:• Ensure accurate processing and recording of the organization's financial transactions• Utilize accounting software systems like Abila MIP and ADP - Financial Services for financial management and reporting• Oversee auditing processes to ensure compliance with standards and regulations• Manage budget processes, including planning, tracking, and reporting• Conduct capital management duties and oversee cash activity for financial stability• Interact with Bloomberg Terminal for financial data analysis and reporting• Perform general accounting functions, including but not limited to: reconciliations, journal entries, and budget variance analyses• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met• Liaise with other departments or partners to gather necessary information for financial reporting• Assist with other accounting projects as needed.
