Our Flood Restoration Portfolio (FRP) is the principal delivery agency for restoring the Councils’ and Community assets. Over the coming months, the team will grow exponentially, offering exciting opportunities for personal and professional development as we deliver many rebuild and transformation projects for our community.

What we trust you to deliver
Manage operational and administrative tasks to ensure maximum efficiency in delivering the Programs, including assessing grant stages and progression of applications to reach agreed-upon milestones.

Establish procedures and controls for acquiring and implementing grant funding; ensure compliance with procedures and controls; monitor spending to ensure contract compliance and departmental accountability.

Track and monitor the post-award progress and expenditures of the grant through various programmatic and financial reporting procedures.

Use performance metrics per the grant agreement. Implement and reconcile the grant's completion while following all closeout requirements.

Prepare and submit compelling funding applications showcasing our vision and potential.

Maintain and update the grants register.

Monitor and report on funding outcomes, including under-spend, risks of over-spend, project extensions, and acquittals..

What you'll need to be successful
The ability to read and interpret legislation, understand grant processes and procedures and understand Local Government are desirable.

Knowledge and experience in grants management frameworks and program delivery in local government are an advantage.

You have proven experience developing and implementing grant programs responsive to the communities they intend to serve, including developing systems and related operating procedures.

Experience delivering program outcomes, including managing high volumes of information while meeting predetermined deadlines and defined standards.

Experience in managing programs that require a high level of governance, accuracy, and accountability.

You work effectively across teams, identifying and working with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to successfully implement and manage a grants program.

Attractive remuneration for the right candidate.

This position is a full-time (70 Hrs per fortnight), term-based appointment until 31 December 2026.
