Graphic Designer
Temporary Full Time 13 months maternity cover
Salary: $82,534 to $92,425 per annum (based on 70 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation and a 9 day fortnight (hybrid).
Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
A fantastic opportunity exists to join our talented Graphic Design team to create high impact design solutions for a variety of Council services and programs.

Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces.
About the role
In this role you will liaise with internal clients and to understand their needs to produce high quality creative for a full range of print and digital mediums. You will champion Council’s brand and look for innovative solutions to connect effectively with our audiences.
The position will:
Ensure all material designed reflects council’s Brand and Style Guidelines and provides a consistency of ‘look’ or ‘brand’ across the organisation
Provide assistance to internal customers in relation to production of artwork for a range of paper based and digital / social media projects
Interpret the design requirements and provide design advice to various internal customers to achieve the outcomes sought
Provide finished artwork for advertising in local print media and digital advertising for online requirements
Seek quotes from suppliers on Council’s print tender panel and ensure the quality of the finished print product meets our standards
About you
Qualifications
Diploma in graphic design or deemed equivalent experience
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated experience in graphic design
Demonstrated experience, knowledge and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs and Microsoft Office Suite in a MAC environment
Ability to creatively develop new concepts
Demonstrated experience working to corporate brand identity guidelines
Experience working and communicating in a team environment
