Provide overall leadership to the HR Managers and HR team members of all Group CompaniesEnsure the organization’s compliance with Employment lawsEnsure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all City Council, County and National regulationsInvestigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolutionUse performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to teamDevelop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiativesAnalyse industry and market trends in compensation and benefits and make suitable recommendations to managementDesign and implement employee retention strategiesBridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issuesSupport current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capitalDevelop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organizationOversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
· Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues and resolving conflicts through positive and professional mediation
· Ensure that the work culture followed and endorsed by the Company is adhered to by all employees
· Conduct exit interviews and report alarming trends or incidents
· oversee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
· Ensure confidentiality of HR information
· Overseeing Group HR functions, review and monitoring of all policies, processes, systems and other initiatives
· Putting in place forward-looking strategies and plans to enable the company to attract, motivate and retain our talents
· Support management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analysing information and applications.
· Advising HODS and HR teams on all compensation, rewards, performance management as well as benefits and wellness related issues / queries.
· Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
· Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Create/update a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys and keep the strategy up to date
· Keep track of latest trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
· Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Masters degree in HR ManagementMinimum 15 Years of overall experience of which last 5 years on a HR Manager profile reporting to the Board of Directors or CEO if a large size company. (Experience with organisations from Africa shall be an added advantage).Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.Ability to navigate difficult conversations with appropriate discretion and confidentiality.Verbal and writing skills.Willing to travel to African group companies for a period of up to 3 months per visit.Willing to travel to various destinations for conducting interviews and meeting candidates for managerial positions.
