We are currently seeking a “Head Accounts and Finance” to join our team in Mumbai.
Position Scope:
A key member of the India leadership team, this role will support our business Operations and aggressive growth plans, guiding and providing sound advice on finance impact to the business and will be actively involved in the business growth plan from strategy to plan to execution.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
• Responsible for the entire accounting function
• Maintaining accounts as per IGAAP for Indian requirements and US GAAP for group reporting
• Global reporting and month-close calendar needs to be followed, while ensuring high level of accuracy in accounting.
• Work on reporting various operating financials, cost calculations, budgets and inputs from a commercial point of view.
• Statutory Financials Consolidation as per Indian Accounting standards and IFRS.
Audit and Compliance:
• Work closely with internal and external auditors and work constructively towards addressing issues and gaps identified by auditors.
• Responsible for tax compliances - Direct Taxes as well as Indirect Taxes, including Transfer Pricing.
• Work closely on secretarial, legal and other regulatory and SOX compliances.
Funds Management:
• Oversight on the cash flows of the business, keeping a close watch on receivables and Payables.
• Inventory Management.
• OPEX and CAPEX Management.
Systems and Processes:
• Focus on improving systems and processes, with a view to strengthening capabilities within the function and also building efficiencies over time.
• Business & finance transformational experience, process improvement experience.
• Working on Finance Modelling and Automation.
Talent Management:
• Resource development and deployment including hiring, training and coaching, performance management, talent development and reward and recognition;
• Active engagement around succession and development planning
The essential requirements of the job include: -
• Experience – 10 – 15 years in an Finance Business Partnering or a Finance Leadership role
• Preferably someone who has been rotated through all functions within Finance – Taxation, Audit, GL accounting, FP&A, etc. as well as exposure to both a sales as well as a manufacturing business
• Education essential – a CA Degree
• Ability to build relationships and influence people in a matrix environment.
