Job Description
• Responsible for general compliances of the Group & managing compliances related to SEBI, FEMA, Company law etc.
• Enforcement of compliance strategy of the Group, as well as advisory and interpretation services in relation to and SOP as required.
• To take lead, consult, defend the Company in civil, and criminal litigations, and proceedings, to lead legal support in government investigations.
• Coordination with external bodies from time to time to solve disputes, and better manage compliance issues.
• Drafting, vetting, negotiations & documentation of various contracts and other legal & commercial documents.
• Proactively identify risk exposures and propose risk mitigation strategies.
• Liaisoning with governmental officials on compliance matters.
• Represent the Group and other senior officials in front of the Judicial/ Quasi Judicial/ State authorities.
• Other legal-related & Secretarial related work as directed by Group
• Officiating with board, managing Board meetings & managing group company secretarial work
Expectations from the Candidate:
· Minimum 15+ years working experience in the field of corporate legal compliance.
· Experience in Retail / Pharmacy industry preferred.
· Qualification of Company Secretary is required along with deeper exposure to the legal + secretarial side.
· Experience in Public ltd companies is must.
· Well conversant with applicable laws including but not limited to Companies Act, SEBI, FEMA, Data Privacy, EHS and other various law compliances.
· Good in cross-department coordination capability and communication skill and ability to influence key stakeholders and the leadership for approvals on compliance strategy
