Our client, a growing manufacturing company based in South Bend, IN, is seeking a Head of Accounts Payable to drive the vision and strategy for the Accounts Payable department. This company is continuously expanding and is focused on incorporating advanced AI strategies, process improvements and system upgrades to continue their pattern of growth. Head of Accounts Payable Responsibilities: - Provide clear direction, delegate tasks effectively and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment
- Work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement, develop clear and concise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Analyze accounts payable processes, identify bottlenecks and recommend and implement solutions to optimize workflow and maximize efficiency
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments and vendor relations
- Create and deliver training programs for your team, ensuring they possess the skills and knowledge needed for success
- Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, internal departments and team members
- Perform other duties as assigned Head of Accounts Payable Requirements: - 10+ years of experience in Accounts Payable with at least 5 years in Accounts Payable management, preferably within a manufacturing company
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
