Position: Head of Finance

Job Summary:
Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join its rapidly growing B2B Company as the Head of Finance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial functions, including accounting controllership, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), business finance, treasury management, provide finance support for overseas expansion and collaborate with CEO in fund-raising activities. This is a critical leadership role that will contribute to the overall strategic direction, financial health, and expansion of the company.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all aspects of the company's finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely completion of financial statements.
• Oversee the accounting controllership function, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, month-end and year-end closing activities, and internal controls.
• Drive financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making.
• Manage business finance operations, including financial modeling, pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and evaluation of business investment opportunities.
• Provide financial support and guidance for overseas expansion initiatives, including compliance with local regulations, cash management, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with the CEO in fund-raising activities, including preparing financial projections, investor presentations, and supporting due diligence processes.
• Develop and implement robust treasury management strategies, including cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, risk management and FEMA compliances
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax obligations, and statutory reporting.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, investors, and stakeholders to support fund-raising efforts and strategic partnerships.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance and accounting, and provide recommendations to drive operational and financial efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications/ skills:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. In addition, Chartered Accountant qualification/ MBA from premier institute
• Proven track record (15+ years) in a senior finance role, across large companies and start-ups/ high-growth environment, with expertise in accounting controllership, FP&A, business finance, treasury management, and fund-raising.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience in supporting overseas expansion initiatives, including knowledge of international finance, compliance, and cash management.
• Demonstrated success in fund-raising activities, including preparing financial models, investor presentations, and due diligence support.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Excellent leadership, people management, and team-building skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to provide valuable financial insights to drive decision-making.
• Experience with financial software systems and tools.
• Knowledge of the B2B supply chain industry and understanding of India's financial landscape is highly desirable.
