Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our finance team as our head of Taxation. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's tax strategy, compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in India tax law and regulations, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of optimizing tax strategies to minimize liabilities while ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities:
1. Tax Strategy Development: Develop and execute tax strategies aligned with the company's overall
financial goals. Identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiency improvements while maintaining
compliance with applicable laws and regulation.
2. International tax: Work with global teams and international tax consultants on M&A transactions
and tax compliances.
3. Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax returns, including corporate income tax,
VAT/GST, payroll taxes, and other relevant taxes. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and
update internal processes and practices accordingly. Manage relationships with tax authorities and
handle any tax-related audits or inquiries.
4. Tax Planning: Provide expert advice on tax implications for various business initiatives, such as
mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and international expansion. Collaborate with cross-functional
teams to structure transactions in a tax-efficient manner.
5. Transfer Pricing: Develop and maintain transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance with
international tax regulations. Manage transfer pricing documentation and reporting requirements.
6. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and
support. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the taxation team.
7. Financial Reporting: Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate tax provisions are
reflected in financial statements. Collaborate with external auditors to address tax-related inquiries
during the audit process.
8. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential tax risks by implementing robust controls and
processes. Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess their potential impact on the company's tax
position.

effectively to internal stakeholders, executives, and the board of directors and partner with relevant
internal cross functional teams on execution strategies
Job requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master's in Taxation)
2. 15+ years of progressive experience in tax compliance and planning, with a focus on both domestic and international taxation.
3. Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
4. Experience with tax software and financial systems.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Effective leadership and team management abilities.
7. Exceptional collaborator with strong communication and presentation skills.
8. Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualification:
1.Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
2. Experience at top tax firms and retail companies will be an added advantage
