Indigo Shire Council is on the lookout for someone with a background in Health, Safety and Risk to work within our People, Culture & Risk team.
You'll bring your excellent organisational and time management skills, and a strong focus on safety to a high functioning team that values internal relationships and working collaboratively with our staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and drive, as an active member, Council’s OHS Committee including preparing OH&S reports and following up on relevant items on the action list.
Managing the implementation and ongoing improvement of the OHS Information Management System ensuring safe work practices are fit for purpose, compliant and actively adhered to across the organisation.
Coordinate the incident management system, overseeing its functionality by allocating, delegating, and following up on incident investigations and outcomes to enhance workplace safety. This includes conducting investigations on hazards, incidents and near misses.
Advise and collaborate with key internal stakeholders to develop and maintain essential safety documentation, including policies, Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
Case manage the end-to-end process for Return to Work, act as a Return-to-Work coordinator for cases and collaborate with the Senior People Officer for non-insurance related cases.
