The Opportunity
The firm is seeking a mid to senior level attorney to join its Health Care Litigation Practice Group. This role is available in the Los Angeles Orange County and Sacramento offices and offers the opportunity to work on complex high stakes matters for hospitals health systems and other health care providers.
The practice focuses on health care reimbursement disputes business to business litigation and government and regulatory investigations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator who enjoys intellectually challenging work direct client engagement and significant responsibility within a well established and growing practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Represent hospitals health systems and other health care providers in litigation involving reimbursement disputes against major health plans shareholder and other corporate disputes and complex multiparty matters
• Draft pleadings motions and discovery and manage cases through all phases of litigation
• Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes with opposing counsel
• Review and analyze contracts agreements and other documents relevant to health care litigation
• Participate in arbitrations mediations settlement negotiations and trials
• Conduct legal research and stay current on health care laws regulations and reimbursement developments
Qualifications
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership are required
• Strong background in business focused health care litigation with meaningful reimbursement litigation experience
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex matters simultaneously
• Excellent legal writing analytical and advocacy skills
• Strong academic credentials and a collaborative client focused approach
