About the position
Duties
As part of Parks Canada's energetic Visitor Experience team in Dawson (YT), Heritage Presenters deliver multiple daily interpretive presentations, programs and activities to provide visitors of the historic site with opportunities to discover, appreciate, learn about and enjoy the place and its natural and/or cultural resources and understand their significance to Canada.
In a nutshell, you will develop and deliver engaging, meaningful and thought-provoking interpretive programs to help visitors understand and appreciate various aspects of the Klondike, past and present. We do meaningful work with a supportive, energetic team.

Conditions of employment
Obtain and maintain a Reliability Status Security Clearance
Must be willing and able to travel to different work sites, to the extent normally associated with a valid driver’s licence.
Must be willing and able to wear a Parks Canada uniform as per the uniform policy and/or dress in period costume, as per Parks Canada requirements.
Must undergo and pass pre-placement and periodic medical checks (when position is located in an area classified as isolated and/or remote, a pre-employment medical examination of an individual and his/her dependents may be required)
Operational Requirements
Must be willing and able to work shift-work, including evenings and/or weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays.
Must be willing and able to exert moderate physical effort to stand or walk for prolonged periods of up to seven hours per day.
