Job Description
Independently and proactively advise business and functions in legal issues including civil and criminal litigation, contracts, advisory in corporate function and in the respective region on need basis.
· Briefing solicitors / advocates / counsels on various legal /litigation matters, attending different court proceedings on various civil / criminal matters- summary suits
recovery of dues, eviction suits, injunction etc.
· Formulating and implementing the strategy for settlement and litigation in agreement with the business and commercial teams PAN India.
· To work in close coordination with regional legal and commercial team for debtor's review and taking legal steps for recovery of outstanding debts, customer claims and exposures.
· To conduct Legal awareness training across branches PAN India.
· Preparation and circulation of litigation/recovery MIS.
· Interact with the business heads, branch heads and function heads in the region in the course of the work and advise on the legal exposure management, proactively
· Appear and represent before courts, tribunals, statutory and regulatory authorities on behalf of the Company.
· Coordinate litigation management and case management with empanelled legal counsel.
· Handle corporate legal work as may be assigned from time to time.
