Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Hotel Accountant to join our dynamic team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of hotel accounting principles and practices. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
• Financial Accounting: Oversee the entire accounting cycle, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Revenue Management: Analyze and report on revenue performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Cost Control: Monitor hotel expenses, identify cost-saving measures, and prepare variance analysis reports.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file necessary tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify trends.
• Audits: Assist with internal and external audits.
• Cash Management: Manage cash flow and optimize cash utilization.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in hotel accounting.
• Strong understanding of hotel accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, Micros).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
