About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Motel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our well-established motel located in the heart of Echuca. This hands-on role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning, directing, and coordinating the daily operations of the motel
Supervising staff performance and ensuring smooth functioning across departments (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, etc.)
Handling guest inquiries, feedback, and resolving complaints professionally
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
Managing bookings, reservations, and room allocations using motel management software
Overseeing budgets, monitoring financial transactions, and controlling operational costs
Implementing marketing strategies to drive occupancy and revenue
Coordinating maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to maintain quality standards
Recruiting, training, and rostering staff to ensure adequate coverage
Ensuring the overall presentation and cleanliness of the property
Requirements:
Minimum 2.5 years of relevant experience in motel or hotel management
Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or business (e.g., Diploma or Certificate IV in Hospitality or Management)
Strong understanding of customer service principles and motel operations
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using motel management and reservation systems
Ability to manage budgets and financial reporting
Flexibility to work across weekends and public holidays as required
