Housing & Homelessness - Team Manager, Marketing and Support

We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and experienced manager to lead a dedicated team responsible for the advertising and lettings of social homes through a Choice Based Lettings system. This role is pivotal in ensuring the best possible outcomes for our residents by driving service excellence and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing housing services, preferably within social housing or local authority settings. You will possess strong knowledge of housing allocations and related statutory frameworks and have experience in service improvement initiatives and implementing best practices to enhance service delivery.

You will have excellent leadership and communication skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including residents and external partners and a passion for delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of the local community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the team responsible for advertising and letting social housing, ensuring efficient operations that meet residents' needs and reduce void turnaround.
• Oversee the Common Housing Register Partnership, developing strategies to maximise limited housing resources and deliver the best outcomes for housing applicants.
• Review decisions related to housing allocations ensuring compliance with the Common Housing Register Allocations Scheme.
• Ensure service is aligned with the Council’s strategic objectives and can fulfil its statutory obligations.
• Drive continuous service improvements, implementing best practices to ensure exceptional service delivery to our residents.
• Ensure that performance targets are met, contributing to the achievement of key service standards.
