Job Description
The main function of the Head of Vocational Training is to create a strategy plan for overall Vocational Training Centre (VTC) to become a self-sustaining vertical and envision center wise growth plans keeping in mind the location nuances, guide and support the overall implementation and monitoring of all the Centers across the country according to the project document and in coordination with the team leader at every location.
Tasks

Manage the 3 standalone VTCs and 8 after school centres with a total capacity to handle upto 1500 students
Plan, manage, and ensure implementation, of all the Vocational Training Centres Pan India with the location centre head so that each centre becomes self-sustaining centre
Ensure placement of students of VTC as per agreed % with the management
Should be able to liaison with NSDC/SSCs and other state agencies engaged in skill development, Assessment & Certification and Placement and to get Accreditation of the SOS VTCs from NSDC/SSCs/State agencies as deemed fit.
Contribute actively to achieve maximum numbers of students from the community. Ensure the VT Cs achieves the targets agreed so that the centre runs at full capacity
Liaise and network with relevant Government officials, in coordination with the team leader to generate employability and become a govt aided centre.
Ensure strong links of VTC activities to the relevant sectors in the public and private domain.
Monitor and support the VTC field managers, staff in the implementation of their tasks
Lead recruitment
Manage and ensure completion of deliverables of donors with timely project reports.
Lead capacity building of VTC staff.
Prepare yearly plan of operation and budget and ensure timely and proper execution and monitoring and budget spending.
Requirements
University degree in education, vocational training, or related field
Minimum 10 years of relevant and progressive professional work experience, particularly in implementing similar development projects
Solid experience in managing and implementing technical and vocational education and training projects
Experience in working with and advising Government and private sector representatives
Specific experience in working with training course development and/or labour market analysis will be a distinct advantage
Solid analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
Strong leadership, people and networking skills
Excellent English skills, oral and written
