Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our team. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys delivering high-quality HR support and working across the full employee lifecycle.
You will work closely with the HR Manager to support day-to-day HR operations, maintain accurate employee records, and provide timely, practical HR advice to managers and staff across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a professional, responsive, and high-quality HR service to managers and employees, resolving HR queries effectively.
Prepare and manage HR documentation across the employee lifecycle, including:
Offer letters and employment contracts
Contract variations
Onboarding and probation documentation
Termination letters and exit interview processes
Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job adverts, arranging interviews, and liaising with hiring managers.
Manage pre-employment checks for new starters, including right-to-work, references, and background checks.
Coordinate and monitor completion of mandatory training to ensure compliance with company and legal requirements.
Oversee internal inductions and support an effective onboarding experience aligned with company culture.
Maintain and update the HRIS, ensuring employee records are accurate, compliant, and up to date.
Support ad hoc HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and service delivery.
Undertake additional HR duties as required by the department.
Person Specification
Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
Ability to manage a busy and varied workload and work effectively to deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a strong team player.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with experience using HRIS
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively.
Discreet, ethical and confident managing confidential information
Committed to continuous improvement and developing HR processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a similar HR Administrator or HR support role.
HR Graduate or equivalent experience preferred
Experience supporting HR projects and managing multiple initiatives is desirable.
Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Understanding of basic HR practices and employment law principles.
