Why St Andrew’s?
At St Andrew’s we’re more than Australia’s largest standalone private hospital, we’re a community united by a passion for exceptional care. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we know that a happy, engaged workforce is the foundation of outstanding healthcare. Every day our teams work side by side to deliver the best outcomes for our patients, our colleagues and our community.

Our Team
You’ll be joining a small, high-performing, connected HR team known for our collaborative spirit and hands-on approach. We partner closely with leaders across the hospital, building trusted relationships and delivering practical, solutions-focused support.
We work true to our values:
We care. We collaborate. We deliver excellence.

The Role
This is a genuine HR Advisor opportunity focused on people, problem solving and practical application rather than recruitment or heavy administration. You will be the first point of professional HR guidance for managers, translating legislation, Awards and the Enterprise Agreement into clear, workable solutions that support fair, consistent and lawful decision making.

Based on the edge of the city, this newly created role reports to a supportive HR Manager committed to mentoring, capability building and professional growth. As an experienced HR Advisor or Generalist, you will partner with leaders and employees to provide timely, balanced advice and guide a broad range of employee relations matters.

The role offers real variety and ownership, including:
Providing practical HR advice across employee relations, performance management, conduct and employee lifecycle matters
Supporting managers to apply Awards, the Enterprise Agreement and policies consistently and in line with legislation
Assisting with grievances, investigations and performance improvement processes
Working collaboratively with Payroll, WHS and Learning & Development to deliver seamless employee support
Contributing to HR projects, policy implementation and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintaining accurate, confidential records and ensuring compliance with organisational and legislative requirements
This is a role where you’ll be trusted to use your judgement,
develop your advisory expertise and make a genuine impact.

About You
You are a capable and approachable HR professional with strong judgement and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach. You’re comfortable managing sensitive matters and enjoy working closely with managers to navigate employee relations and performance issues with fairness and integrity. Highly organised and adaptable, you communicate with clarity and professionalism, build trusted relationships and manage competing priorities with confidence in a part-time role. You’re motivated to continue developing your HR expertise and have a genuine desire to grow toward business partnering, contributing positively to culture, capability and organisational success.

So, why apply?
Because this is HR done properly! You’ll be part of a dynamic environment where your work truly matters, supported by a great team who celebrates success and invests in growth. You’ll gain exposure, confidence and real progression without being stuck in repetitive tasks or continuous recruitment activity.

You will be happy. You will grow. You will achieve.
This role is remunerated at an appropriate HR Advisor level, with salary packaging available as part of our not-for-profit benefits. This position is being re-advertised; previous applicants do not need to reapply.
